About Me

Living a relatively ordinary life, I have gotten quite complacent about the human condition.  I allowed myself to sit idly and rely on others to bring about the social, ecological and economical changes we so desperately need.  Taking comfort that as long as there is a voice of dissent, then I can go about my day not caring.  Finally, those years of complacency/denial has come to a head.  I started to feel restless hearing/reading about the catastrophes both environmental (pollution, endangered species, climate change, genetically engineered food, oil spills, etc) and economic (sweat shops, overmining resources, corporate globalization, etc) - an overwhelming amount of crimes agains humanity and the environment.  What can I possibly do about it?  Me - with no particular talent, no real influence, no wealth to speak of.  What can I do?  What can you do?  what can anybody who cares do?

I do not see myself writing legislation any time soon, and I am certain protests are not enough, but a friend once told me that a revolution can start with a tweak in everyday living.  So I am here to put it to the test.
